Another busy and productive day is complete. Kind of a strange day. I guess not strange, but it was, haha, I don’t know. Earlier in the morning Adam Acosta, a rider from Forest Grove I consider a little brother called. He has been up in Alaska with the Coast Guard and he was just home in Forest Grove for a week preparing for a cross country drive to Virginia to start Diesel Mechanic School. Some one has to fix those crazy ass engines on the Coast Guard ships. It was great to hear from him and know he has come a long way. I guess someone listened to all of my going on at the trails and skatepark about the importance of education.

Later in the evening another brother from another mother Jason hit me up to see if I was down to meet up next week since he would be in town looking for a place to live. We set something up, should be good. I guess the strange part was that I have not kept contact with almost anyone from the Hometown area of my life. I grew up and moved on, like we always talked about as kids. Last night two people from there hit me up to talk and make plans to visit one another. Is it a sign that a trip home is needed soon? Or is it just a heads up that real friendship can stand the test of distance, absence and of course time.
