Shad and Bristol are here! So stoked. Picked them up from Long Beach Airport (where Air Force One was parked) this morning. Headed straight to the office for me to do some work and them to get their bikes together. While at the office Marine One with President Obama in it flew over our office. That thing was flying pretty low and was crazy loud. Pretty sweet. Once we were done we grabbed lunch and headed to Baldy.

Drive was smooth and so was the ride into the pipe. We did hit a snag when there was no bridge across the murder hole. (Murder Hole: deep gnarly pit the full width of the pipes channel you have to cross to gain access to the pipe.) Bristol gave a sprint and jump across and just made it. He did slide out to his ass on impact and he took one for the team. After some discussion we finally got across and it was on. We did a equal amounts of goofing off, catching up, daring, filming, shooting photos and of course shredding. Bombing the pipe from the top was a blast and was totally the way to do it. I was also really stoked I put brakes on. I talked to Dean and he reinforced the fact that brakes are a good thing since it is all downhill going into the murder hole.

I eventually snapped my chain while trying to crank hard into a run that Shad was filming. Smashed my knee and knuckles into the lever. I hate brakes and I remember why now. Later I slipped riding with no chain and smashed my other knee. Sweet! Then on the way out I got a flat. SO by the end of the day the list of bikes to fix grew a lot. After some running around we made it home to what I hoped was chill. I ended up helping Bristol put his new bike together. It’s sick! You dudes are already jealous, haha.
