Up super early today. I passed out around 7:30 last night and just went with it and decided not to get up till today. Feeling great. Good stage this morning, lots of controversy with Cavendish getting no final sprint points and Big George Hicapie not feeling the lack of love from his homies and missing out on the Yellow Jersey by seconds. He at least sits in 2nd place over all.

Got a text from Jesse before 1 and decided to head out his way since I have never made a trip over to Venice Beach and thought today would be a good one for that. Hearing from Jesse was a surprise since he usually works, but he got off early, stoked! I made it over there by 2:30 we made a plan and set off. We kicked it at the above ledges in the picture for a while and just enjoyed the views. Minimal shredding was the plan for the moment.

After a bit we pedaled back up the beach towards the OG Venice Walls area and where the new skatepark and the current “skatepark” are to meet up with Angel and Myles. We hung out at that spot for a bit longer then headed to a joint for Myles to get some grub. After that we rode the circle for a bit. It’s a little area in the middle of a busy as hell and crazy round about in Venice Beach. Good little sesh. After a while it was decided to head over to the Venice Ramp and we set off.

After grabbing my car we all headed over to the mini. I opted to not ride it, wasn’t feeling it. Angel and I messed with a tether ball for a bit then I made some crazy tether ball shots into a near by basket ball hoop. That eventually segued into grabbing a real ball and playing some serious games of Around the World between Anger and I. We played 7 Games and they lasted for hours. We didn’t realize it at all. I finally broke our 3/3 tie on the last game that we cut down to 3 shots each way. Man we were beat and starving.

While we were playing Bauer and Ardelean had come to the ramp, Faith came by to see Jesse and Myles smoked about 50 cigarettes. Well maybe only 5. I had hit up Jim to ask where this BBQ spot was he told me about and he decided he would just take me there himself. So Jim, Jesse and myself went over to Baby Blues BBQ and had a serious session of great food. Thanks for showing us the spot!

I dropped Jesse off at home and hit the road back to LBC. The traffic at the 710 was horrible, so I hopped off the 405 and took back ways home. Great day hanging with Jesse again, hell great day hanging with everyone. Really happy I made it to Venice at least once before I leave this place.
