Today’s post has been brought to you by the themes: Phone Install, House Hunting, and Rudy’s BBQ.

Another in the office early start today to meet the phone people, one of which is quite good looking, yes she is a female, so they could get our phone system started. They set up the systems brain and ran some cables around the room to get us pretty much up and fully operating. I kept thinking was was going to be nice when we had phones again, I was wrong. I can’t just ignore the phone and know someone else is going to pick it up, now I have to be the ones that grabs it when it rings.

First real call into the office was credit card machine solicitors. The started with do you process credit cards at your new business? I said no, then they run off on their speach. They then say “But I guess you don’t do cards there so you don’t need our service,” and hand up. Why can’t they just hang up when you tell them no?

Chris took off around lunch to do more new house stuff. I decided that I would also try and find somewhere I could call home. 1 quick lead eventually lead to a phone call and then a site visit. The above photo is of the Town home I looked at. Hell even in the photo the place looks sweet. But it really wasn’t. The neighborhood it was in was pretty trashy. It was on a street that dead ended and the area was prety trashy, which explained the amazingly low price.

Then I walked inside constantly hearing from the guy that was showing it to me that he hoped I didn’t like it so he could take it. The place has been empty for a while, why didn’t you take it then? On and on about some girl that was coming out from California, bla bla bla. I start to look at the place and it does have AC, check, it does have Washer Dryer hook-ups, check, but the place is so trashy. Kitchen counters are terrible and painted over to try and make them look good like they did in the online photos. The fridge was dirty and grimey. The laundry room was so gross and the storage behind that the same.

I go upstairs hoping it would improve and it didn’t. Most of the doors were trashed and had over spray on them from when the walls were just sprayed back to white. Nothing was masked, everything was half assed and that was the theme of the place. The price is insane for the space, but I am not sure if I could roll that way for the next year, which is what the lease term was. This one will go on the list, but I will keep looking.

After that I went back to the office to look for more places online and do some work. When evening hit I decided to go to Home Depot to get replacement bulbs for the house. I made a list of what bulbs I needed and took pictures of the weird ones. I set off on another themed mission to get bulbs, Rudy’s BBQ for dinner and deposit a check at the ATM. On my way back from Rudy’s you could see amazing lightning storms in the distance. I really missed seeing those.
