Happy Labor Day. Kinda weird we are celebrating this in the State seeing how bad unemployment is.

Today was another one of the days at the office where I got an idea of what it’s going to be like when we are in full swing. Chris came in after lunch and we talked a bit and did some unpacking and organizing. I made plans to head over to his house later in the day for some Labor day-b-que. Earlier in the morning I had made plans with Forrest to try and go ride, but it was another hot one today and I wasn’t feeling like getting out there too early in the heat. I mentioned maybe going to the near by skatepark once it got dark out.

After some great dinner with Chris, Jessica, Casper, the baby and Chris’ parents I headed home. I didn’t think I was going to ride, but after a quick pit stop at a store for and Amp and some water I was ready to go. It was too late already for Forrest so I hit it solo style. When I got to the park it wasn’t crowded, but there were a good amount of people. After about 45 min. it really thinned out and by 10:30 I pretty much had the place to myself.

It’s a great little park with a mellow tech street course and a large feature filled bowl you can see peaking into the bottom right corner of the picture. I rode only taking a break to tighter my chain, drink some water and take the above photo. Good little crew of skate dudes that kept the session chill. I am really glad to have something like this only a few minutes away.
