When the going gets tough, the tough turn Pro

After long, down to earth discussions and decisions, this weekend it was decided that the time is right for Standard Factory rider Allie Dragoo to make the move from amateur class to Elite Women’s class.

Last year, Allie won the NBL Grand National Championship in the 17 and over Women and captured the National #1 plate in 17-24 Cruiser. Although she didn’t race ABA last year, she did go to the ABA Grand Nationals and placed 4th.

So, with a strong season so far, she is sitting at national #1 right now in the NBL and while she has a good shot at #1 titles in both sanctions for 2009,Allie decided she is not doing herself any favors competing as an Amateur.

Last weekend in Desoto, TX, Allie raced elite women’s class in the USAC race and placed 3rd. She hopes to build on this momentum in her first official Elite race in April at the NBL’s Gator Nationals.
