| I got an e mail off H Man saying that people were requesting info on the Federal/ KHE coaster mod that I posted a while ago, which obviously shows that there are still people having issues with the driver bearings (having said that I haven’t had to change my bearings out nearly as often since the nylon bush was added). Although the mod worked it isn’t really ideal so I decided to fire up the old computing piece and have a crack at designing a coaster. I’ve not done the detail design on it but it’s clear that everything can still fit in whilst still being lighter (only by 20g though…) than the Federal coaster. More importantly the driver bearings are 5x stronger without compromising the strength of the other bearings, the shell or the driver. You can still have 9t as well, and left or right hand drive, and it should come in at roughly the same price as current models as very little is different and the driver bearing retails at only slightly more than 2 of the current bearings.
