to be honest this was one of the most fun times i have ever had filming a bmx related video. those guys havent been the heroes of my childhood but knowing about their history and what each of them did for bmx to be where it is today i am simply stoked. watch this and get impressed. a timeless document that makes me laugh, cry and pretty happy. thanks to Ron Wilkerson, Brian Blyther, Dave Nourie, Mat Hoffman, Bob Haro, Craig Campbell and Kevin Martin for making this as epic as it could have been. enjoy! - dominik

GREAT video work. So stoked to see these guys hitting it so hard. Crazy that they are on the OG bikes, knowing that they all ride newer school bikes as well.
thanks jeremy!
this makes me smile!funny, ron looks just like he used to,man,I would have loved to be there.
man,now I realize just how dialed those guys used to be,now they look humanized,I mean, they could go for an entire show back then without bailing or repeated tries.I used to think these guys were superhuman lol,and yes, coming back to those bikes,(and the gear!vans lo-tops!)must be hard.ron has cw bars I think, picture that!
haha! yeah for sure. glad you like it!
[...] Feel good edit of the year? SRC: Woozy BMX [...]
awesome work. also? pedal picker dropin FTW. who is the guy who crashes on Blyther’s bike, btw?
The guy chrashing looks like Craig Campbell.
yep your right. i have added him to the “epic-list”. he is ok btw. i think he rode vert on sunday.
The Team Haro Demo was great! First time I saw Ron, Brian, Craig, Mike and Dave riding not on videotape…
I would like to see this oldschool stuff to become normal at the Worlds!!
good clip, amazing riding from our pioneers and for sure a brave action show for their age between all the double whips, flairs and 14 year old kids who have a foampit for breakfast. the only thing that doesn´t fit is the music because this a original show from back in the 80´s and not a austin/trails/sunset/oh this is so harmonic/ webclip, right?!
Dominik!!!!!! You just made my year so far. So rad watching all that riding. It looks wet as well. DAMN!!!!!!!! Stoked to say the least. the 540 was nuts…keep it up.
thanks david!!
yep, according to his facebook page, it’s craig campbell alright.
Very Nice! Kudos to all involved: riders, organizers, bike & helmet dialers, videographers & editors.
amazing….best thing I have seen in years…..
thanks ed!
[...] Woozy BMX put together this amazing edit of the Haro Retro Show that happened this year at the worlds. This video’s really well done and it’ll give you chills when the over/under 540 hits the screen. [...]
This took me back to the 80’s, seeing those guys ride together again. This was a great video of them riding their old school bikes. I am very privileged to get to ride with Ron Wilkerson at the skate park on Sundays.
Wow what a great video. Thanks so much for posting it!
This video is where it all started for me in australia. 20 years on and i still have my haro in a shed in bits. love it. mebbe rebuild it since it has DMC engraved on the base of the headtube.
What a fantastic piece of film work. The riding was great (of course) and it was so fun to see childhood heroes riding together again, but the mood and editing and music are what makes this super special. There’s a great caught moment at the six minute mark where Wilkerson and Blyther have just done the air-over-540, when Wilkerson points over at his old teammate amidst hollering and fans. Just awesome.
thanks kevin!
Is it Wilkerson and blyther just doing the reg over / under air too then? thanx
Excellent video of an excellent demo. Wish I was there to see childhood heroes doing what they did best - entertaining the crowd. Sure the riding isn’t as advanced as today, but I still find that more inspiring than any of todays vids.
Well done on the vid though. I liked the music, 80’s music wouldn’t have fitted. Excellent.
