««Chinese New Year Fireworks in Beijing, 25 Jan 2009 »»

Fireworks are banned for the past few years in China. Since 2008 the government start to allowed people to put up fireworks again with some time restriction: 24 hrs on CNY eve and day, 7am-12 midnight for the rest 14 days. I would say, it is the most magnificient fireworks I’ve seen for my whole life, the atmosphere really brings up my mood even though my families and friends are in Singapore. I stayed in Beijing since 2007, on 2008 CNY eve exactly past midnight, the whole of Beijing city came alive, with fireworks everywhere. Usually when there is some festive going on, many people crowded together at some spot to see fireworks, but this is totally different experience. We can view from our apartment window, the noise was so loud which….no words to describe, as if we are in the middle of some kind of war, no jokes. I take this video on 25 Jan. 2009 exactly past midnight, we have moved to this apartment 1 year ago, I still prefer the previous apartment where we have a better view. I will try to download it when I have the time. I hope to share the joy with all of you, my computer takes a long time for me to download this video. Enjoy and “Gong Xi Fa Cai”!!
