THE MEANING of the Cullen Family Crest:
I know originally fans were trying to decipher the meaning based on the book, but this crest is an actual Irish family crest (Cullen family of course.)
This means it is VERY OLD and has nothing to do with the books except that Stephanie Meyer chose the last name Cullen for the family. :)
I did a little searching and so far I have come up with this:

Hand: Hospitality (Thanks Mastermindvideos)
Lion: Loyalty, Sovereignty(Royalty)
Chevron: (The slanted bar) A common part used in crests and coat of arms
Clover: Wellness, Comfort(Wealth)
