Irish singer Jimmy Ward started out in 1959 with the Jets and Tony Sheridan & the Beat Brothers (pre-Beatles) from the UK.
They moved to Hamburg (august 1960) to play various rock & roll clubs such as the Top Ten Club.
In 1962 Jimmy Ward joined Indorock legends the Black Dynamites and left about a year later to join Indorock showmaster Oety & his Real Rockers.
In 1964 bandleader Oety Johannes left and the group renamed themselves Jimmy Ward and the Tropicals.
Jimmy Ward and the Tropicals continued playing all over Germany until finally disbanding in 1970.
