Lloyd Ramsay (who’s still trying to make his way back here after being deported to South Africa last winter) sent me some photos and text last night, which you can check out after the jump.

This road trip made me feel old. We arrived at this guys house which was also a hostel. A dude on crack was trying to drive a car in the parking lot and just missed crashing into my car. Guy was so high he had no idea what he was doing, not sure it was even his car or that he had ever driven before. Saw some wild things on that road trip: the cultivation of crops, expecting to get shot twice and jungle like heat.

These are some trails a few guys I ride with built. They are on the side of the road in a residential area. Yeah, you can pretty much just build anywhere and nobody cares.

Greg I. getting high at a park near where I live. The park is run by some dedicated skaters and is basically underneath this huge mall. Bikes were not allowed there for many years but they finally got with the program and everyone gets along really well.

This was shot for a magazine that the shitty economy caused to close down. It was for their “Green Issue”, focusing on the environment. These trails are in a MTB park called Giba Gorge where I spend a lot of time. They have all just been rebuilt so I cant wait to ride them. This place is 10 minutes from my house.

Really old small concrete park thats in a tourist beach town. Insanely steep tranny all round. I cant think of why but for some reason I have never actually ridden this park. My best friend has a Mozambican restaurant just down the road with the best seafood I have ever eaten the world over.

This would be the main park in the area I live. I fight with the staff every time I am there over riding the concrete snake run which they say is a “skate only zone” but cant tell me why. None of the staff ride and the park is owned by a bank so they can all suck my balls. This was taken in the “pro” section which has these gnarly rusty screws holding it all together.
