The Snow fall in Alpe D’huez has been amazing over the past few days, along with clear blue skys…

Waking up hung over in the top bunk of Sunset one with a bad case of desert mouth, peering out the window to see 2 feet of powder accompanied by perfect blue skys.  Ate, slacked as hard as I could cleaning people’s rooms and headed on up the mountain.  What followed was one of the best days of my life.

Found an amazing powder tree run.  Here’s Dean with a large cliff drop:

We visited only a few hot spots this place had to offer, a small fraction of the back country available.  We hope to get guides to show us the proper powder fields next time it is perfect.  But for now the virgin powder has been humped for all it’s worth, so it’s park sessions untill the next powder day. Anyone who wants to ride this year, but is on a budget, give me a PM, ’cause I can probably sort you out with a place to sleep.
