This portrait of the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland was painted over three days, during my spare time. Probably around six or seven hours total.
The technique is a little different from my other works. I don’t usually start in black and white, but it gave me a nice chance to explore the lines and shapes. Her costume is an update on a design I did for a play version of Alice in Wonderland about eleven years ago.
Painted in Corel Painter IX with a Wacom Intuos Tablet.
